Tuff Training for HR

Break the unhelpful dynamic between HR and business leaders by upgrading your conversations

Overview

This programme transforms you from an overworked  “service facility” to an expert with gravitas and influence in your organization.

The overall feedback participants give is : “I feel confident and calm in situations where I wasn´t before”

It all starts with training in your way of being. Training that challenges the degree to which you really partner with the organisation and helps you to ‘undo’ the unhelpful dynamics of ‘HR-as-order-taker’ or ‘HR-as-police’ or even ‘HR-as-parent’.

What our participants say

“

Really great course that gave more impact, understanding of the HR role and more confidence in how I can handle different types of conversations. I think the course has been very rewarding

From the first course day to the last, I can see that I have made a clear movement - an update of my OS! … I have learned more about the benefits of being myself to a greater extent and trusting my own and others' abilities … in a way that made the result greater than the course content. A personal journey that I am sure will give wings to the organization.

Outcomes

What can I get out of participating in this training?

Participants leave the course with the courage and self-awareness to have totally different conversations with their business leaders, managers, employees or colleagues that draw out motivation, responsibility, and development.

Through the leadership training you will discover

  • How to be a catalyst for improved leadership in your organisation

  • How to avoid defaulting to solving problems, giving advice, and being solely responsible so others can step into their power

  • How to truly create engagement which so many organisations struggle to shift despite it being one of the most measured and studied principles in the modern organisation

  • Ways to have difficult conversations in a way that empowers others

  • Create a more empowering dynamic in change (which is almost never the case right now)

  • How to support leaders and managers without doing their job for them (intentionally or unintentionally)

  • How to have effective feedback conversations that lead to real shifts

  • How to show up in a way that genuinely partners with the business rather than ‘partnering’ in name only

When the OS is outdated

Lately I have been thinking about trainings off-site (classroom) versus development on the job (cf. 70-20-10).  An old metaphor that might be useful is that companies and organisations are exploring so many new ways of working, for example open-plan office spaces (for better collaboration), Agile teams, lean and all the way to self-management.

A puzzle with a piece not connected
Leadership and new ways of working – the piece that’s mostly missing

There is a lot happening today in the world around leadership and how we work together in our organizations. New progressive ways of working are being explored more and more, and we continue to wrestle with what leadership is, and should be, going forward. Many would say that we’re in the midst of a paradigm shift, where we, on a large scale, are moving from more traditional hierarchical top-down ways of working to less hierarchical more bottom-up self-directed or self-managed ways.
